AFCEA South Florida was honored to host an outstanding networking luncheon featuring Colonel Stuart Cate and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) SOUTHCOM Field Office team. Attendees from across the government, military, and industry sectors gathered to discuss the technologies, partnerships, and innovations strengthening national defense and supporting the mission across the SOUTHCOM region.
Colonel Cate and the DISA SOUTHCOM Field Office shared valuable insights into mission-critical initiatives transforming the digital battlespace across United States Southern Command—including Zero Trust architecture, cloud modernization, secure data sharing, and electromagnetic spectrum management. The discussion highlighted how DISA's field office in Doral, Florida directly supports operations across Latin America and the broader hemisphere.

Chapter Relaunch Luncheon with CIO/J6

AFCEA South Florida marked a significant milestone with our chapter relaunch luncheon, featuring guest of honor Colonel Jared Snawder, CIO/J6, U.S. Southern Command. This event brought together government, military, industry, and academic professionals to reconnect and rebuild the AFCEA mission in South Florida.
Colonel Snawder provided valuable insights into the Command's priorities, strengthening the vital connection between government initiatives and industry innovation. We also extended our appreciation to the Deputy J6 and the Deputy Commander of the DISA SOUTHCOM Field Office for their leadership and engagement during this impactful session.
